"If we were to rediscover these things; if they were to spark, spreading like a flame along paper, well, we might reignite our sense of romance and purpose and honor, and the world born of that fire would burn theirs to the ground."

Not to get all Yoda on you, but "it is the future you see." Or at the very least, one possible future. I'd argue that the Enemy's high command sees it too, which is why so many of their moves of late -- yes, including their parades and streaming banners, in addition to their attempts to censor and jail -- seem so jarring and desperate. This is not how an opponent acts on the cusp of victory, but rather at the moment when they themselves fear the tide of battle might turn sharply against them. That doesn’t mean we'll surely win, but it signals to me that we can.

I agree, they do fear a shift against them. I just worry that our ranks are too battered (mentally/emotionally) to rise to the moment. We could, but will we? I think the decisive moment is drawing very near.

I understand your concern. But I have to say that, as battered as I've felt for years, I feel rejuvenated lately. Twenty years younger, and relishing the fight to come instead of dreading it. Perhaps that makes me foolish, but I'm a happier fool today than yesterday. I also sense they're making a lot of mistakes, and that capitalizing on those will be easier than in the time before the Internet.

I have days where I feel the same, honestly. Leaving social media and coming to Substack, reading all the excellent, intelligent writing here has certainly helped. But I worry that we could be in a bubble. Even if we are, though, I hope we'll be effective at resisting and, eventually, rebuilding. The enemy can't sustain themselves forever, as the path they've set for themselves is only downhill toward decay. I'm just not certain there's a way to keep the masses from following and taking society down with them. There must always be a remnant, though, so at the very least, I hope we'll find a way to effectively insulate ourselves from that decay, assuming we're unable to reverse it.

I would liken where we are now to the Beatniks in the 50s -- not that we're anything like the Beatniks ideologically, but in terms of how their cultural influence played out. They were definitely not a mainstream movement in their day, but they influenced the counterculture that exploded onto the mainstream the following decade. Our ears are to the ground, so we sense the seismic shift happening in our culture. It's subtle and easy to miss now, but the Marxcissist Left has hit their high water mark already, and the tide has begun to turn. That will only accelerate and get more obvious in the coming years and decades. Now, they still control the major institutions and they won't relinquish that control without fighting dirty, so things probably will get crazy. This will actually accelerate the trend of people getting "red pilled" and turning away from the Left; as the Left fights dirty (which they will have to) it becomes ever more obvious who they are and what they stand for. We are a long way from victory, but we can be assured that they, in the end, will not win.

I see what you're saying, and I hope you're right. Your recent article on "Conformmunism" was a great argument for a whitepilled future. And I do see that shaping up, which is why I am optimistic some days. But like you said, it will be a long, uphill battle. I hope the new generation (who will be on the front lines) has the stamina and grit for that.

I hope so too. I think they do, but we'll see. In the meantime, the upcoming election cycle is really critical in America. Not as much because of who wins (though that's important), but because of how people perceive its legitimacy. If we make it through 2025 without things going totally off the rails, I think we'll have really turned a corner. But of course, things could also go the other way too. Bottom line, there's some make-or-break moments coming up in the near future before the new generation even hits adulthood. The good news is, if things get crazier, it will accelerate the process of normal naive people waking up to what's really going on.

Brilliant essay. It gives me hope. I believe the truth will prevail but I think we're in for a tough time. Thanks

Action is the best cure for despair, especially action which bears fruit, even if tiny. Better to be upright fighting a fell beast than tied down and nibbled by hungry rats.

My most recent post lists some inherently useful actions, and my next post will list more:

Note that these are actions that are useful even if few others join in. They are not dependent on any network effect. But since they don't depend on a network effect, there is potential for a network effect -- a reverse Catch 22 if you will.

Fortunately we do have the Eternal hope. That is the ultimate whitepill, in the end. It doesn't make me hope less for a shift for the better in the short term, but it is the ultimate comfort for eternity. Always important to keep sight of.
